Beloved American Skater, Kurtis Colamonico, dies at 33

Kurtis Colamonico is the American athlete who is a professional Skater born in the year 1989. He considered Skateboarding as his life and was involved in sports for the last 25 years.

Young Colamonico was inspired by his grandmother’s neighbors to participate in sports. Then after that, his grandmother gifted him with a Josh Casper Blind skateboard.  He considered Christian Hosoi, Daewon Song, Andrew Reynolds, and Chad Fernandez as his inspirations.

He rode a skateboard of Size 8, with 149 trucks and 50mm wheels. His favorite trick was the Backside tail slide and 360 flips. He performed many tricks and trained many kids in El Dorado skatepark. According to Skate Kids, he was sponsored by Hosoi Skateboards, Diamond Supply Co, Furnace Skate shop, Adidas flow, Grizzly Griptape, Bones Bearings, Skate Kids, Keen Ramps, and S-One Helmets.

Colamonico, who is an American skateboarder, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022. He was a famous Skater in the USA. He was known for his famous All I Need Skate podcast.

Colamonico died at the young age of 33 years. His death news is confirmed on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. His admirers have expressed their condolences to his family members. The first to confirm the sad news was Kurtis’ fellow skateboarder friend, KevinROMAR, who wrote on Twitter:

“This one hurts, I was just on the phone with ya too man damnnn – RIP to a genuine human & one hell of skater #KurtisColamonico”

He was very close to the kids, who loved skateboarding. He has inspired so many youngsters who are involved in Skateboarding and some of them have also participated in many international tournaments. Colamonico always said: ‘It truly inspires me to inspire youth.

My goal is to build kids to make the best, confidence while giving them and out to life that they can do at any time to bring joy.” He also mention that he wanted to be Teacher and he is thankful that he can teach the kids skating which is his passion.

Professional Career of Kurtis Colamonico

Colamonico’s has played in many skating championships, his first debut was on 2007 in AST Dew Tour, Baltimore and he became seventh.

He played three championships in the year 2008, one was LG Action Sports World Championships, Seattle, where he became 5th. And 9th in Etnies GvR, Lake Forest.

In the year 2009, he became 8th in Alli Dew Tour, Salt Lake City, and 9th in Alli Dew Tour, Portland. He became the inspiration for young skaters all around the world.
