However, her health prevented her from participating in the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, as she announced in January of that year that she would have to undergo cancer treatment.

Nadia was a proud wife and mother of two children, both of whom she shared with her husband and fellow skier, Devid Salvadori.
