On their honeymoon, a newlywed couple was murdered in a collision, and the husband has been accused of being involved. In June, Marina Hanna, 29, passed away on Hamilton Island when the golf cart she was riding in turned over.
Ms. Hanna was critically injured, and despite the efforts of emergency personnel, she passed away at the scene.
On June 11, Marina Hanna, 29, and Robbie Awad, aka Robbie Morgan, were wed in a significant church ceremony in Sydney. Two days later, they traveled to Queensland’s Whitsundays.
The delighted couple spent their lavish vacation taking helicopter tours of the island, sipping cocktails by the pool, and relaxing in lounge chairs by the water.
Ms. Hanna passed away a week later. Initial reports stated that Mr. Awad, 30, was operating the electric buggy while his new wife sat in the back seat on Whitsunday Boulevard when the battery began to drain.
The buggy allegedly overturned as the couple attempted to make a U-turn to return and charge it. Ms. Hanna is said to have exited the car, fallen to the ground, and then passed away instantly.

Robbie Morgan, the husband of Ms. Hanna, has been charged with a number of offenses after a thorough police investigation, including using a cell phone and driving while intoxicated.
No evidence suggested that Ms. Hanna’s death was anything other than “a tragic accident,” according to the police’s original statement.
Next month, the 30-year-old will appear before the Proserpine Magistrates Court.
Less than two weeks had passed since Ms. Hanna and her husband had tied the knot when they took a trip to Hamilton Island for their honeymoon.
It came after a grand ceremony and celebration at Doltone House, which overlooked Hyde Park, in Sydney.

Sara Perry, a close friend of Ms. Hanna, recalled her as a funny, amazing, and incredibly loving person in the days following her passing.
“The love Marina shared with all of us was unconditional. It was hard to believe such a tiny person had so much to give,” Ms. Perry said.
In a July interview, Mr. Awad said that the day before the alleged tragedy, on June 19, as they boarded a helicopter for a special tour over the vacation island, his new wife had “never looked so lovely.”
He originally struggled to identify the cause of her seeming radiance. It all made sense when she passed away, he claimed.
‘She was radiating before she left [this life]. ‘It was because God was calling her home,’ he said. ‘She is an angel.
‘There are no two ways about it.’
Her brother Mark Hanna told the crowd how he would miss his “good-hearted sister” forever.
“No words can come close to the pain we feel in our hearts today,” he said, fighting back tears, “it seems like heaven is crying too.
‘Marina was a sweet, young, independent woman who was loved by all who knew her.
“She was beautiful inside and out, loved to laugh, and always had a positive outlook on life.
