Teen girl Lucy Billingham dies in an accident
Friends of an 18-year-old girl who sadly perished in a vehicle accident have left her on social media with heartfelt words of support. Local authorities have identified Lucy as the person killed in the crash in Canterbury. On Saturday, December 3, at about 4.20 am, emergency personnel flocked to The Old Gate Inn roundabout on the A2050 New Dover Road. Sadly, Lucy was identified as deceased at the site.
Although the hospital received four more passengers, none are thought to have suffered injuries that are life-threatening. A 20-year-old male has been detained on suspicion of killing someone while driving recklessly. One of Lucy’s pals even referred to the girl as a “kind angel” in a memorial posted on social media.

“Life’s too short honestly… one minute you have someone and the next they’re gone and vanished in thin air. Death is such a horrible thing that’s inevitable in every person’s life, but when you go too soon and way too young that’s when it’s so much more than just passing away.
“Be proud that you’re still here waking up everyday because my god lost so many people this year and in the last couple that it’s getting harder and harder everywhere you look. RIP Lucy Billingham forever 18”.
“My lovely niece passed away yesterday in a car crash in Canterbury. She was only 18. “I haven’t had much sleep since this happened. “Rest in peace Lucy, we will all miss you.”
The teen’s uncle authored a touching farewell, saying:

“I cannot begin to say about the life we lost and how this has affected her family and friends.”
Meanwhile, one of Lucy’s cousins wrote:
“Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing to anyone who saw what happened, or has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward.”
A spokesperson for Kent Police said:
Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) officers from Kent Police are pleading for anybody who saw what occurred or has pertinent dashcam or CCTV evidence to come forward.
