The body of rapper Dashawn Robertson, whose legal name is Dashawn Robertson, was confirmed by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office on Monday. According to The Dallas Morning News, officials have not revealed the cause of death.
Robertson’s death happened just one week after the Recording Industry Association of America certified “6locc 6a6y” as gold. The song’s music video has received over 25 million views so far.
His death comes on the back of a manslaughter accusation filed against him in February in relation with the murder of his friend, Khalil Walker, 18. The case of Robertson was scheduled for a hearing on Tuesday.
“He had a very bright and brilliant music career ahead of him,” Robertson’s lawyer, Ashkan Mehryari, said.

Initial reports stated that Robertson committed suicide, including one from an acquaintance of his. His friend, Cyraq claimed Lil Loaded committed suicide because Lil Loaded’s girlfriend cheated on him. Cyraq wrote on his Instagram:
“My n**ga just killed himself cause his b**ch. I hate this hoe so much right now,” wrote Cyraq in the first of a series of posts on his Instagram Story. “That nihh told me inna studio last month somebody f**k his girl, he a kill em. This nihh ended this s*it behind his girl. He meant that s*it. Brudda I love you bih.”
