Kimon “Kiki” Bisogno, 38, is receiving numerous condolences after losing her life to a shark attack in Plettenberg Bay on Sunday. Her friends have called her a “beautiful soul.”

The mother-of-one Bisogno, who co-owns a pizzeria with her longtime partner Diego Milesi in Observatory, Cape Town, received the heartfelt condolences of the NGO Ndifuna Ukwazi.

The yoga enthusiast was a volunteer community activist assisting the Observatory neighborhood. According to the organization, she was a founding member of the Obs Pasta Kitchen, which provides weekly homemade pasta to the homeless. It marked five years of business this month.

She also volunteered at Rainbow House, a long-term housing program for ex-street dwellers.

She wanted to “develop relationships with the needy and establish how we can help them, not just giving out handouts but creating special bonds so that eventually there will be no one at this pasta kitchen, it will just be a celebration of friends coming to re-meet,” the organization stated, quoting Bisogno.
