A suspicious vehicle was discovered in a local restaurant lot in Warren Township on May 13, 2004, leading to the subsequent arrest of Jason Thomas Monsell, Patricia’s son, on drug possession charges.
During the course of the investigation, Jason Monsell provided crucial information implicating his mother in a plot to hire a hitman to murder his father, James Monsell. These startling revelations ultimately led to the arrest of Patricia Monsell on May 14, 2004. She now faces charges of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm with intent to use it unlawfully against another person.

When he refused, he was told to go outside and use a power washer to drown out the sound of gunfire while Patricia shot her husband, according to officials. Patricia Monsell was released from Somerset County Jail late Thursday afternoon after paying $1 million in bail.

The hearing was attended by his sister, Jennifer, aged 27, as well as several aunts and uncles, all grappling with the profound impact of the family’s tragic ordeal.
“I want to apologize for all the hurt and pain this tragedy has caused my entire family,”
