On 30 November 2022, at the age of 51, Rebellin was killed after being struck by a truck while out on a training ride, according to the report.
The event occurred at Montebello Vicentino just before noon, and according to the local newspaper Il Gazzettino, Rebellin died instantly. Although it’s not clear if they were aware of the impact, Il Gazzettino reported that the driver did not stop at the scene of the tragedy.
