Corrections officials announced Wednesday that a 74-year-old s*xual offender, Harvey Heishman who had spent more than 40 years on death row for the murder of a woman he had r*ped had passed away in the prison waiting room.

Corrections officials announced Wednesday that a 74-year-old s*xual offender who had spent more than 40 years on death row for the murder of a woman he had r*ped had passed away in the prison waiting room.
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation reports that Harvey Heishman passed away on Tuesday at the medical facility at San Quentin State Prison. The coroner for Marin County will establish his cause of death, they added.

Lugassy reported to authorities that Heishman had s*xually assaulted her the night they met. Heishman was detained by the police but later released on bail. According to the authorities, he killed Lugassy by shooting her before she was to accuse him.
