Former FCT Council President, Danladi Zhin, dies at 54

Danladi Zhin, the 54-year-old former head of the FCT’s Kuje Area Council, passed away. Zhin passed away early on Sunday in a private hospital in Abuja, according to a close friend of the deceased’s, Godwin Omonya, who confirmed the death.

He stated that Zhin had spent more than a month in the hospital due to unspecified illnesses, but on Sunday at 12:34 am he passed away.

He revealed that his family members had taken the deceased’s remains and placed them in an Abuja hospital morgue.

It was discovered that the deceased Zhin ran for the House of Representatives in 2019 on the APC ticket in the Abuja South district.

The deceased was married to Paulina Etsu Zhin, with whom he had three boys and two girls. He served two terms as the chairman of the Kuje area council.

Danladi Zhin served as the FCT PDP coordinator for Atiku Abubakar’s presidential bid in the 2023 general election till his passing.

He is survived by his wife and 5 children.

The All Progressive Congress, APC, chose the late Zhin to represent Abuja South in the House of Representatives during the general elections of 2019.

He served two terms as the chairman of the Kuje area council.
