Sabrina revealed to The Sun in an exclusive interview: “When my son tried to take his own life two and a half years ago, I prayed to God to save him and give me a little more time.
“And God answered my prayers. Yes, he did. He provided me with two and a half years more than I expected.
Sabrina, who lives in Las Vegas and shared a home with Alphonse and his older brother Elijah, 23, only learned about Peyronie’s disease’s devastating effects on mental health after her son died when she read about it online after his death.
Alphonse, who also suffered from bipolar disease, felt as if his life was coming to an end and is thought to have overdosed on an unknown prescription. The results of his autopsy have yet to be revealed.
Sabrina is aware that she and Elijah will be alone in their grief.
Sabrina says she won’t waste any more time attempting to connect with her father Richard, Serena, or Venus, because they showed no interest in Alphonse.
Richard, who turns 80 on Valentine’s Day, went on to marry Serena and Venus’s mother Oracene after Sabrina’s mom and made it his number one mission for his daughters to become tennis players, even penning a 78-page manifesto explaining his roadmap for success.
