Will Friend, the CEO of Bisnow, perished on Sunday at the age of 33 after being struck by lightning off the coast of North Carolina, according to sources.
Friend was struck by lightning while on a boat near Masonboro Island, according to Wilmington, North Carolina-based WECT. He was transported to an ambulance by emergency personnel after island residents waved down the police.
According to the local broadcaster, emergency personnel worked to revive Friend for 20 minutes before declaring him dead.
