A year after going missing, an FBI informant in the Trump investigation was discovered dead at a high school in Los Angeles.
He was found dead Monday on a high school campus in the El Sereno neighborhood, where he worked with federal officials probing former President Trump’s relationship with the German banking powerhouse Deutsche Bank.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Broeksmit, 46, was reported missing by friends and relatives a year ago. He was last seen driving a red 2020 Mini Cooper on Riverside Drive in Griffith Park around 4 p.m. on April 6, 2021. Broeksmit’s automobile was discovered, but he remained missing until Monday when his body was recognized by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
According to Sgt. Rudy Perez of the Los Angeles School Police Department, cleaning personnel at Woodrow Wilson High School discovered Broeksmit’s body just before 7 a.m.
Classes resumed, according to Perez, as investigators isolated the location. According to Perez, Broeksmit appeared to be homeless.
Until an investigation is completed, the coroner’s office will not reveal the cause of death.
