Brown, a Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance manager, and Loraine “Barry” Farrell, and was born in New York City and raised in Sea Cliff, a community near Oyster Bay on Long Island. She graduated from Sea Cliff High School in 1956 and kept in touch with many of her classmates.
