73-year-old Mother, Tara Book, shot and killed her own Daughter, Brittany Buras, 23

Tara Book was a native of the United States who apparently shot her own daughter and pointed and shot the gun at herself.

Authorities said that the killings of a woman and her daughter are now being looked into as a murder-suicide.

According to deputies, a mother who had just shot her daughter called 911 and stated she was going to shoot herself.

According to FOX 8, the 911 call was received by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana on Tuesday at around 8.30 am.

During the call, a dispatcher says she overheard a gunshot.

When authorities got on the scene, the mother and daughter were already dead, according to deputies.

The sheriff’s office has named them Brittany Buras, 23, and Tara Book, 43.

Wednesday is the intended day for autopsies.

FOX 8 was told by neighbors that they “never anticipated” this to occur.

One neighbor admitted to frequently seeing Book and being “mind blown” by the news of the deaths.
