Four children, including Suzanne Marie Sevakis, two daughters, and a son, were born to Sandi Chipman. She wed Franklin Delano Floyd, a death row inmate who had been convicted of murder, for the third time in 1974.

Floyd abducted his wife’s four children while Sandi was serving a 30-day term for writing bad checks in 1975. The two daughters, Suzanne’s sisters, were left in the care of the neighborhood social services department.

Then, Floyd left with five-year-old Suzanne Marie Sevakis and gave his wife Sandi’s son up for adoption. He started assuming the role of Suzanne’s father, Warren Marshal and changed Suzanne’s name to Sharon Marshall.

Sharon’s stepfather Franklin Floyd would s*xually abuse her. She was a talented student at school who was praised for being mature for a teen girl and smart, bright, etc. While at school, she participated in the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) and the scientific club.
