According to the BBC, a group of men reportedly pushed MacGill into a car at about 8 p.m. Then he was taken to a property and threatened with a weapon. MacGill was thrown away with Warne back to fitness only when Warne again suffered injuries in the summer of 2000–2001 as Australia was the host of the West Indies. His next test against South Africa took 7 wickets in January 2002. MacGill came in and despite taking 12 wickets, he scored over 40 despite Warne’s inability to perform the 4th and 5th test of the 2002/02 Ashes series.
