Police officer Stanley Clerveaux, 25, of Tampa, Florida, was detained on suspicion of soliciting prostitution. According to Tampa Police Chief Mary O’Connor on Wednesday night, Clerveaux was hired as a recruit in 2020 and sworn in as an officer in May 2021.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSCO) detained a Tampa Police officer who was not on duty but was suspected of soliciting prostitution.

In the 4800 block of West Cypress Street in Tampa, Stanley Clerveaux was detained on suspicion of soliciting prostitutes, according to HCSO. In 2020, the Tampa Police Department hired Officer Stanley Clerveaux.

Clerveaux has been stripped of duty, it was reported after his arrest was revealed on Wednesday.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office will continue to look into this situation, according to Tampa Police Chief O’Connor.
