They seized her identification card and phone and stopped paying her to isolate her and compel her to confess, according to the court.
Miss Lionnet was struck with an electrical cable and beaten so badly in her final days that she suffered five broken ribs, a shattered breast bone, fractures to her sternum and her jawbone. In a video confession made hours before she was killed in the water, she looked broken and malnourished. Kouider and Medouni were found attempting to burn her body in their back garden in Wimbledon, South-West London in September 2017.
