Canadian singer, Shane Yellowbird, dies at 42

Shane Yellowbird is a Hobbema, Alberta-based Cree-Canadian country music singer-songwriter.

Yellowbird was voted Aboriginal Entertainer of the Year at the Aboriginal People’s Choice Music Awards in 2007, Chevy Trucks Rising Star of the Year at the Canadian Country Music Awards in 2008, and had one of the top ten most-played country music tracks in Canada that year.
