Samy Vellu, Longtime Malaysia Cabinet Minister, dies at 86

One of Malaysia’s longest-serving Cabinet ministers, Samy Vellu has died at the age of 86.  In a Facebook post on Thursday, former Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) president S. Subramanian said he had been informed of the news by Tun Samy Vellu’s son, Vell Paari.

Samy was one of the longest-serving Cabinet ministers. Vellu died at the ripe old age of 86.  In a Facebook post on Thursday, former Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) president S. Subramaniam said he had been informed of the news by Tun Samy Vellu’s son, Vell Paari.  

He has not disclosed reveal the cause of death.
