Subramaniam, a former MIC vice president, passed away Friday night at his Petaling Jaya, Selangor, residence. He was 78.
When approached by Bernama about the situation, L Sivasubramaniam, a member of the MIC Supreme Council, verified it and said that Subramaniam, who had a stroke in 2011 and had been bedridden ever since had passed away in his sleep at around 8 o’clock.
The funeral, he said, would take place on July 7.
Two sons and a daughter, as well as his wife Tina Subramaniam, age 70, survive Subramaniam.
