A student from York College of Pennsylvania passes away after being found unresponsive.
According to a statement from Richard T. Satterlee, dean of student development and campus life, a student at York College of Pennsylvania has passed away. According to the statement, freshman Ryan Heflin of Norristown, who is majoring in sports media, was discovered unconscious on Thursday in his residence hall.
He was subsequently declared dead. The statement reads, “There are no suspicious circumstances behind Ryan’s loss, and we are terribly grieved by his death.” This is the second fatality to occur on campus this term.
The men’s soccer player Andrew Ruehlicke, a junior majoring in sports management, passed away last month after being discovered unconscious in his dorm room.
He was from New Jersey’s Mullica Hill. Ryan’s living community and the instructors of the programs he was taking will both be reached out to by Counseling Services.

The statement that was issued late Thursday to the York College community:
“It is with a heavy heart that I share with all of you the death of one of our students, Ryan Heflin. Ryan was found unresponsive in his residence hall this afternoon. He was later pronounced deceased.
There are no suspicious causes surrounding Ryan’s passing, and we are deeply saddened by his death. Ryan was a first-year student and Sports Media major from Norristown, PA.
As a community, we have experienced a great deal of loss this semester. I ask that you keep Ryan, his family, and his friends in your prayers.
