The actress, best-known to daytime fans as Stephanie on One Life to Live and Maggie on Another World, passed suddenly at age 49. The announcement came on Saturday via Griggs’ official Facebook post, wherein a message noted: “Hi everyone, With a heavy heart, I am devastated to announce Robyn’s passing. However, she is no longer suffering and would want us to remember that and the positive memories.

I will never forget how open she was to tell her tale and welcoming of me to help her tell it. She wanted to help people and spread the word of her experience to achieve it. I felt honored to do so. RIP my friend, I love you and smile when I think of you.” Robyn had been facing stage 4 Endocervical Adenocarcinoma.

Back on July 7th, Griggs had taken a turn for the worse, revealing on Facebook, “Unfortunately, I have 4 new tumors … 2 new tumors on my liver, one on the abdominal muscle, and a massive one on the right side lymph node.” On August 11th, her father stated Robyn was put into hospice care.
