Robert Eugene Steinhardt aka Robby Steinhardt (May 25, 1950 – July 17, 2021) was an American rock violinist and vocalist best known for his work with Kansas from 1973 to 1982 and 1997 to 2006. He was co-lead singer/”frontman” and MC with keyboardist Steve Walsh. The only original members of the band who were not from Topeka were himself and Steve Walsh.

Steinhardt, a Lawrence, Kansas native, co-founded the band with Topeka West High School alumni Kerry Livgren, Rich Williams, Phil Ehart, and Dave Hope, as well as Steve Walsh, a St. Joseph, Missouri native. According to the Topeka Capital-Journal, Steinhardt was a member of Kansas from 1973 to 1982 and 1997 to 2006.
