A little over a year ago, Pyle spoke at the Butler County Community College’s Ford City groundbreaking. Pyle gathered support and raised many million dollars to expand the educational and employment options for locals.

Pyle formerly had an office with state speaker of the house Bryan Cutler, a Republican from Lancaster, who applauded his efforts in a statement.

โ€œEvery member who spent any amount of time with Jeff would be struck by his unwavering commitment to the trust given to him by the public, and his ability to lighten the mood and bring everyone together,โ€ Cutler said.

To assist locals, state representative Joe Pittman, a Republican from Indiana, observed where Pyle got his fire in part. Pittman was acquainted with Pyle while he taught at Ford City High School, served as mayor, and later as a senator.
