Gok Wan has mixed ancestry
Gok Wan is a British fashion consultant, author, and television presenter. He is of mixed ethnicity, with a Chinese Father and an English Mother. Gok Wan was born and raised in Leicester, England, and he has spoken publicly about his experiences growing up as a mixed-race person in the UK.

His father John Tung Shing Wan was born in Hong Kong and emigrated to Britain when he was 16 years old. Gok mother’s name is Myra. His parents have a restaurant where he used to work.

Gok Wan is among the three children born to his parents. He has a brother, Kwoklyn, and a sister named, Oilen.

Gok also claimed to have slept with “21 and a half” guys in his life, as well as women, in 2009. He also claimed in the same interview to have lost his virginity to a boy while neither of them was of legal age to give consent.

Wan made his pantomime debut as the Man in the Mirror in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Birmingham Hippodrome in 2013. He continued to perform in pantomimes, portraying the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella alongside Brian Conley at the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton (2014) and with Paul Zerdin at the Theatre Royal in Plymouth (2015).
