The family of Olivia Pratt-Korbel issued an appeal pleading for witnesses to come forward with information after the nine-year-old was shot dead and her mother was injured when an intruder fleeing a gunman forced his way into their home, as a result, a 36-year-old man has been detained on suspicion of the murder. The footage of the moment armed officers arrested a 36-year-old Huyton man on suspicion of the murder of a nine-year-old has been surfacing all over the internet.

Nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel was identified as the victim of a gun battle that saw the shooter barge into her family’s home and opens fire causing her death and her mother Cheryl being injured with a gun wound. The shooter broke into the home while donning a black balaclava and gloves in order to pursue a man who had fled inside. He burst through the front door while Olivia’s mother, Cheryl, struggled mightily to keep him out, striking Cheryl in the hand and Olivia, in the chest, who was standing behind her mother.

The ruthless assassin burst inside and shot the man he was pursuing twice more, wounding him. As Olivia lay dying, the shooter ran away while his intended victim was picked up by friends and sent to the hospital. Subsequently, paramedics took her to the hospital, where she later passed away. According to the reports, None of the males involved were related to Olivia’s family in any way.

Ian Rush of Liverpool FC and Ian Snodin of Everton have both been to the street where Olivia Pratt-Korbel lives. They added wreaths of flowers to the numerous other memorials left in honor of the nine-year-old who was shot and killed.
