Pasighat Market Association President, Obyak Ering, dies at 89

Obyak Ering, brother of former union minister Dr. Daying Ering was a Highly respected figure and president of the Pasighat Market Association.

Ering is well-known for his significant contributions to Adi society’s socio-cultural development, as well as his strong bonds with people from all walks of life in the ancient town of Pasighat.

Who was Pasighat Market? Cause of Death

After a brief illness, senior citizen Obyak Ering passed away at the Bakin Pertin General Hospital in the East Siang district on Sunday.

He was 89 at the time of death.

Ering was the younger brother of Daying Ering, a former union deputy minister. He was also the first president of the Congress party in Arunachal Pradesh, and he was involved in other social initiatives.

MLA Ninong Ering of Pasighat West, as well as his family and relatives, expressed deep sorrow over Ering’s untimely death.

“After our father, Daying Ering died, he looked after all of us,” the MLA added in an emotional statement.

Many prominent Siang belt figures and leaders have expressed shock and grief over Ering’s death, claiming that society has lost a leader and a social worker.

Eringe was born in 1933 at Roing Village. Obyak was son of Padi Ering (father) and Susok Ering (mother). He also has a brother, Late Dr. Daying Ering (Union Deputy Minister for Agriculture).
