Joseph’s was shot twice in the torso. After being transferred to a local Baton Rouge hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. Joseph was an assistant football coach at West St. John High School in Edgard, Louisiana, before his death.
Joseph attempted to reduce the intensity in a verbal argument between two groups of guys outside of the Allure nightclub in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in the early morning hours of November 16, 2014 after Juan’s friend was nearly hit by a car in the club’s parking lot.
It was stated at the beginning of instivagation that A revolver was pointed at them by Lemark Cloud. Juan tried to calm them down after Lemark stepped out of the car and pointed his weapon at them and in process he shot him twice. However, it was found later the witness and the fiend of Juan was intoxicated causing in misidentifying the murderer.
Later it was reveeld that the person who shot Juan Joseph dead was jamarcus Goodman who was in same car with Lemark. At the time of revelation, it was found that Jamarcus was already in prison for robbery and sentenced in prison until 2022.
However, Jamarcus was found guilty for the murder of Juan Joseph as was revealed that Jamarcus’ DNA was found on the gun that police found and later confirmed as the murder weapon. Since then he was sentenced to 40 years in prison in late November of 2018.

He was a member of the Rams’ Class 2A State Championship teams in 2003 and 2004. He was a teammate of LSU and NFL players Tyson Jackson and Quinn Johnson in high school. Joseph tried out for the football team in his sophomore year after playing baseball, basketball, Juan football in high school.
He was a member of the NCAA Division III Millsaps College Majors and was offered a full scholarship to Alcorn State University, but he picked Millsaps because he wanted to get a degree from a school with a nationally respected business program.
Joseph split time as a backup quarterback in his debut year at Millsaps in 2005.
Under the supervision of new head coach Mike DuBose, formerly the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Joseph spearheaded a resurgence of the Majors’ faltering program as a sophomore in 2006.
Joseph guided the Majors to another SCAC title in 2007, this time with an 8–2 record. He was selected the conference’s player of the year for the second year in a row.
He beat out other contenders and future first-round NFL Draft picks Michael Oher and Peria Jerry to win the Conerly Trophy, which is given yearly to the finest college football player in Mississippi. In addition, he was a finalist for the Gagliardi Trophy.
The Edmonton Eskimos signed Joseph in March 2009.
On May 15, 2009, Joseph was traded to the Saskatchewan Roughriders in exchange for Kitwana Jones.
From 2005 through 2008, Joseph appeared in 38 games for the Majors. He last played for the Southern Indoor Football League’s Lafayette Wildcatters before he was shoot to death on November 16, 2014 in Baton Rouge, louisiana, USA.
