Lamb was a skilled professional who started at radio, WAJR in Morgantown after which she worked at WPDX in Clarksburg as Director of Continuity and Girls’ Packages. 

In June 1958, she was employed as the WVU athletic director Crimson Brown’s private secretary. Later in 1965, she was promoted up to Brown’s assistant after which to assistant director of athletics on July 1, 1971.

 In all these years, her main work had been the division’s funds and the group of all sports activities occasions and working carefully with auditors within the state company workplace.

Lamb went on to retire on March 31, 2013, at age 92, and was even inducted into the WVU Sports activities Corridor of Fame in the year 2018.
