On Monday, Russia’s counterintelligence agency asserted that a female Ukrainian spy who had fled to Estonia had planted the vehicle bomb that murdered the daughter of Vladimir Putin’s buddy Alexander Dugin.

According to the Russian state news agency TASS, FSB officials have named the alleged assassin of Darya Dugina as 43-year-old Natalia Vovk. They claim that she participated in a criminal scheme “orchestrated and carried out by Ukrainian special services.”

A video compilation purportedly shows Vovk entering Russia in her grey Mini Cooper with license plates from the separatist Donetsk People’s Republic was released by the FSB. Vovk appears to be seen entering the Moscow apartment complex where Dugina resided in a subsequent segment of the footage.

The woman is clearly visible on the doorbell camera as she answers a call on her phone while standing in front of the front door.

The video ends with an inspection of Vovk’s Mini Cooper on the Russian-Estonian border after Dugina was killed. The Mini Cooper now has Ukrainian license plates.

Vovk is given instructions in Russian by a female border agent to unlock all of her car’s doors, and the glove box, and to take her bags out of the trunk.

Vovk, who is dressed in a pink tracksuit and dark sunglasses, seems to abide by the inspection and is then given permission to continue traveling.

Mykhailo Podolyak, the chief advisor to President Volodymyr Zelensky, immediately denied Ukraine’s involvement in the 29-year-old Dugina’s murder, saying, “We are not a criminal state, unlike Russia, and definitely not a terrorist state.”

The Kremlin strongman’s father, known as “Putin’s brain,” had published a message online just hours prior to the explosion denouncing him and calling for “internal changes,” and Russia denied putting out a “false flag” attack on Dugina.

Dugina, a state TV analyst and ardent Putin supporter, was killed when her SUV exploded as she was driving home from a cultural festival outside of Moscow that she had attended with her father.
