Alhaji (Dr.) Muhammad Kabir Maikarfi III, the Maigari of Lokoja, has passed away. After a brief illness, Maigari, 80, passed on Wednesday night at a private hospital in Abuja.

In a statement released late on Wednesday night, Muhammed Nalado Usman, the secretary of the Lokoja Local Government Traditional Council, announced the traditional ruler’s passing. According to the announcement, the late royal father will be laid to rest on Thursday at 4 p.m. in Lokoja.
