In the other heat, Italy took first place with a time of 7:05:05, followed by Russia and Switzerland.

Germany and Brazil have also qualified for the final on Wednesday.

Richards was a member of the men’s 4x100m freestyle relay team that finished sixth in their heat on Sunday, July 25, but he’ll be looking for better results in the 200m event.
