Authorities say a 10-year-old Florida girl shot and killed a lady who got into a disagreement with her mother on Memorial Day.

According to the Orlando Police Department, the kid and her mother, Lakrisha Isaac, 31, were brought into jail after their neighbor, 41-year-old Lashun Rodgers, was fatally shot outside an apartment complex on Monday night.

Rodgers was grilling outside her unit at Jernigan Gardens Apartments on Mercy Drive at 11:45 p.m., according to neighbors. According to WIFR, Isaac, who they claimed was inebriated, approached the woman and slapped her on Monday.

Rodgers retaliated with a slap to Isaac’s face, and the two women began fighting. Isaac allegedly handed her daughter a bag containing a gun at one time, according to authorities.

The 10-year-old took the loaded gun from her purse and fired two rounds, wounding Rodgers.

The victim was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead later.

Isaac, the girl’s mother, was charged with culpable negligence manslaughter, child neglect, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and aggravated assault with a pistol.

Isaac was still being held in jail without a bond on Wednesday. She is scheduled to appear in court later this afternoon.

Because she is a juvenile, the 10-year-old has been released into the custody of the Florida Department of Children and Families.
