Kosoul Chanthakoummane was executed by lethal injection on  August 17, 2022, for the  2006 murder of a Real Estate agent. He was found guilty of the murder of Sarah Walker which he murdered 16 years ago and was finally scheduled to go to his own death on Wednesday at the Huntsville state penitentiary in Huntsville.

In 2006, McKinney realtor Sarah Anne Walker was found stabbed to death inside a model home she was showing. Testimony in the murder trial revealed that Chanthakoummane’s DNA was found under Walker’s fingernails.

Before this, he had already had his execution delayed twice and he’s now asking for a third delay as his advocates had filed a clemency petition with the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles seeking a stay of execution which failed as a result he received a lethal injection Wednesday evening at 6 pm his mother watches.

Collin County Criminal District Attorney’s officer wrote on their Facebook page. They state “Final justice was done this evening as the verdict of a Collin County jury was carried out for the killer of Sarah Walker. Kosoul Chanthakoummane was executed by lethal injection. Hopefully, Sarah’s family, friends, and loved ones can find some measure of solace.”
