It all happened when Kobe and his daughter were traveling in a chopper not long after takeoff to Gianna’s basketball game at his Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, California when the chopper crashed in cloudy weather resulting in nine dead, including NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna.

With the picture being leaked and the report, it was revealed that images taken at the scene of the fatal helicopter crash were also shared during cocktail hour at an awards ceremony a month after the crash, as a result, the county is being sued for an undisclosed amount of money by Vanessa Bryant, the widow of the NBA legend and mother of Gigi, and Chris Chester, an Irvine financial adviser who lost his wife and 13-year-old daughter in the collision, for negligence and invasion of privacy in relation to pictures taken at the scene. 

Due to the possibility that pictures of their family members’ broken bodies will one day appear on the internet due to, as one of their attorneys said this week to the jury, “digital lives forever,” Vanessa Bryants filed a lawsuit against the county for the graphic images taken by first responders at the scene of the helicopter crash that killed her husband. She claimed that as a result, even now, while the trial is still going on, she still has emotional suffering.
