She does, however, recall very little. “All I remember is a dog in a room,” she adds. “Someone came in, opened this door, and said, ‘Go to sleep,’ and there was a dog beneath the bed,” Wrethman explained.

Fortunately, she was discovered and rescued by a group of schoolboys. One of the boys was Mark Byrne, who also features on the BBC podcast. So far, no arrests have been made because no one knows anything about the abduction. Police suspect it is the work of an unknown man.
