Will Howard was born on September 24, 2001, in West Chester, Pennsylvania to parents Bob and Maureen King Howard. He is of American nationality and white ethnicity with a zodiac sign of Libra.

His father Robert “Bob” Howard (born April 30, 1964) is an alumnus of Penn State University. His mother Maureen Howard (born December 31, 1970) is a pediatric physical therapist who graduated from the University of Delaware and obtained a Master’s in physical therapy.

Will is the oldest of four siblings – sister Victoria “Tori” Howard (born June 10, 2003) who attends Penn State on a swimming scholarship, brother Ryan Howard (born June 8, 2005) who plays football for Kentucky State, and youngest sister Grace Howard (born 2009) who is still in middle school.

When Will was born, he had trouble sleeping. To help him, Maureen created a special sleepsuit. She later made these suits for her other three children and then for friends and neighbors as well. Seeing the demand, Maureen and her husband Bob launched the business “Baby Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit” in 2008. After over a decade in business, they sold the company in 2021.

Maureen has been associated with several non-profits like the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In 2019, she won the Blue Hen 17&43 Awards from the University of Delaware for her work.

As the oldest child, Will has three younger siblings – two sisters Tori and Grace, and a brother Ryan.

Will’s younger sister Victoria “Tori” Howard was born on June 10, 2003. She graduated high school in 2021 from Downingtown West, the same school Will attended.

Tori currently attends Penn State University class of 2025 on a swimming scholarship. She is working towards a degree in rehabilitation and human services.

Younger brother Ryan Howard, born June 8, 2005, graduated high school in 2024 from Downingtown West. In 2023, Ryan committed to play football for the Kentucky State Wildcats. He joined the team as a freshman footballer in 2024.

Will Howard played high school football at Downingtown West in Pennsylvania under head coach Mike Milano. He was a standout quarterback and earned several accolades.

Howard was viewed as the 13th-best pro-style quarterback nationally in the 2020 recruiting class by 247Sports, while ESPN ranked him the 26th-best dual-threat quarterback. He was named the 7th overall prospect in Pennsylvania by 247Sports and 11th overall by ESPN.

Some of his major high school honors include – All-Southeastern Pennsylvania Player of the Year (Philadelphia Inquirer), All-State selection (Pennsylvania Football Writers), and Maxwell Football Club Pennsylvania Player of the Year.

On the field, Howard threw for 5,308 total yards in his prep career with 48 touchdowns. As a senior, he passed for 2,543 yards with 27 touchdowns, leading Downingtown West to a 13-2 record, state semifinals appearance, and their first district title since 1996.

As a junior, Howard led the team to an 11-2 season record and state playoff qualification. He also rushed for 512 yards and 21 touchdowns overall in high school.

He was also a standout basketball player, earning all-area selections and scoring over 1,000 career points.

After receiving offers from Maryland, Minnesota, Rutgers, and Kansas, Howard chose to play collegiate football at Kansas State University.

He enrolled early in January 2020. As a freshman, Howard served as a backup quarterback before taking over as the starter for the final 7 games when Skylar Thompson had a season-ending injury.
