Haubert and Martinez responded to a report of trespassing in the 3100 block of South Parker Road at 2:16 p.m. Friday and spoke with three people who were sitting on a nearby curb. 

Martinez attempted to apprehend the three people after learning that they were wanted on felony warrants. Two of the males bolted.

During the 39-second strangulation, the man began to lose consciousness and cry.

Officer Michael Dieck, one of the two officers who arrived on the scene, used his Taser on the subject.

Following his arrest, the suspect was taken to the hospital with visible head injuries. Some of the cuts on his skull required stitches to repair.

According to the affidavit, Haubert informed the man, “If you move, I will shoot you.”
