Henry Ponsonby, a pioneer of syndicate ownership, passed away at the age of 74. “My first job in racing was working in Henry’s office and back then he had horses with dad (Fulke Johnson Houghton),” said Scarlet Dragon’s trainer Eve Johnson Houghton. He was larger than life, and throughout it all, he was both a good winner and a decent loser.
