After his request was carried out at his workplace in Owen Dixon Chambers Westis Lonsdale Street, Harlis Kirimof was detained by officers of the Joint Child Exploitation Team.

According to a Victorian police spokesman, the 33-year-old man was charged with narcotics possession and child abuse material.

Kirimof will appear in front of the Magistrates Court on October 28. A representative for the Victorian Legal Services Board and Commissioner confirmed that the board was aware of the accusations, but declined to comment on whether Kirimof would be able to practice law again.

Kirimof was admitted to the Victorian Bar as a practicing lawyer in 2013. According to his internet profile, he specializes in civil and commercial law and has practiced in both state and federal courts.
