The chief financial officer of the ailing home goods retailer Bed Bath & Beyond fell to his death from a New York skyscraper known as the “Jenga” tower on Friday, authorities said, just days after the firm declared it was closing numerous locations. On Friday around 12.30 pm, police responded to a 911 call and found a 52-year-old man dead near the Tribeca building, who looked to have sustained injuries from a fall.

Police identified the individual as Gustavo Arnal. Police did not disclose any details on the circumstances leading to Arnal’s death but stated the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office would determine the cause of the fatality.
