Travis McMichael, his father Greg McMichael, and his neighbor William Roddie Bryan is suspected of murdering Arbery and are on trial for the crime after a two-and-a-half-week jury selection process. According to the BBC, they are charged with malice and felony murder, as well as aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and criminal attempt to commit false imprisonment.

A local attorney supplied a copy of the shooting footage to local radio station WGIG, who posted it to their website on May 5 at Gregory McMichael’s request.
