Stephen revealed that he had never even seen Love Island before applying for the new job, confessing that he applied for a “laugh.”
“My agency sent me a message over the summer asking whether I was interested in doing it,” he told The Sydney Herald. “Honestly, the first round of it, I was like, well fine, it’ll be a bit of a laugh.”
“It was kind of like another voiceover work, and we just kept going through the rounds; there were a few different rounds of auditions, and the last one required me to create some jokes, which I enjoyed doing.”
“It just occurred that way — to be honest with you, I didn’t know much about the show.”

“And my brother went through the full immigration process, picking fruit and all that, and he ended up living in Brisbane’s Down Under Bar and Grill.
