Reicher, who spent 106 years on this planet, resisted any and all attempts at assisted living along the way while experiencing two pandemics, two world wars, and two pandemics.
According to her grandson Michael, Reicher, who was born in New York but had lived in Newport Beach for the past 20 years, passed away on June 30 due to old age. On July 15 at 11:30 a.m., her family will hold funeral services at Mount Sinai Hollywood Hills.
Her family begs that memorial contributions be given in her honor to the American Association of University Women in lieu of flowers.
Reicher lived in Park Newport up until the time of her passing. She is “fiercely independent,” according to her relatives, and a huge fan of the performing arts.
She is survived by her daughter, Cella Baker, son Robert Reicher, granddaughters Andrea Falk and Christina Ball, grandson Michael Reicher and great-grandchildren Connor, Clayton and Brady.
