Eddie Mekka, an actor, died on November 27 at his home in Newhall, California, according to friends who posted on social media. He was 69 years old at the time. There was no explanation given. On TV’s “Laverne & Shirley,” Mekka played Carmine Ragusa, Shirley Feeney’s singing boyfriend (1976-1983). On the show, his character was known to break into song, often belting out, “You know I’d go from rags to riches!”
