In an attack outside an Indianapolis hotel, a Dutch soldier dies

Authorities reported that a shooting outside an Indianapolis hotel early on Saturday morning injured three members of the Royal Netherlands Army. According to a news release from the Dutch Ministry of Defense, the Dutch soldiers were in Indiana as part of a training exercise.

Authorities reported that one of the three males was in severe condition when all three were transported to a nearby hospital.

“Preliminary information suggests a disturbance occurred between the victims and the suspect(s) which resulted in the shooting. Detectives do not believe this was a random act and that there is no immediate threat to the area,” Indianapolis police said in a news release.

Three individuals with gunshot wounds were discovered by officers when they arrived at a Hampton Inn just before 4 a.m., according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

One of the three Dutch soldiers who were shot in downtown Indianapolis over the weekend has been confirmed as dead by the Dutch Ministry of Defense.

Indianapolis Hospital

The guy passed away on Sunday night in an Indianapolis hospital with his family and coworkers by his side, according to Dutch officials.

The soldier was shot outside of the Hampton Inn on South Meridian Street early on Saturday morning. In the same incident, two further Dutch soldiers were shot.

At the time, the three military members weren’t working. They are, according to Dutch officials, Korps Commandotroepen members.

The conditions of the other two soldiers, who are cognizant and speakable, have not changed, according to the Dutch Ministry of Defense.

There have been no shooting-related arrests. According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, an altercation outside the hotel was probably the cause of the shooting.
