Marc Bergevin, the Habs’ general manager, held a press conference at 5:45 p.m. to confirm that the coach would not be at the Bell Centre for Game 3, which is set to begin at 8 p.m. on Friday.

Ducharme was a four-year player for the men’s ice hockey team at the University of Vermont. While playing with future NHLers and Stanley Cup champions Martin St. Louis and Tim Thomas, he is ranked ninth.
Following graduation, Ducharme began his professional career with the ECHL’s Raleigh IceCaps and Huntington Blizzard, as well as the AHL’s Cornwall Aces in 1995–96. After that, he played in the French leagues for five years and retire in 2002.
