The other deceased victims included an apartment manager who was serving the eviction with the constable, local media claimed. A neighbor was also killed and the resident reportedly turned the pistol on himself, according to Arizona’s Family News.

Their names have not yet been confirmed by police. The fighting began when someone who lived in the apartment shot at a person standing outside through a window, the Arizona Daily Star said.

Afterward, the resident stepped outdoors and continued to shoot, associate presiding constable Bill Lake said. KOLD said that the renter who was being evicted killed the apartment manager and Martinez before turning the gun on himself. Martinez’s car was parked inside the condominium with her purse and personal phone inside. According to court records for the eviction indicated at the location, the individual who was intended to be evicted was Gavin Lee Stansell, reportedly reported Daily Star.

Pima County Justice Court records reveal that a hearing for his case was held on Monday, August 22. The eviction order was issued on August 23. The TPD said the complex has been evacuated as the investigation continues. The scene is still highly hectic but police have indicated the threat is over and no arrests have been made.
